I survived the inevitable. Well, so far.

It happened. That dreaded day. The day I got home from work and the internet light was *off*.

I’m moving, to a place with better internet, so I cancelled my plan ahead of time to save money. I’m glad that I have my phone because I’ve been able to do just about everything with it. I’ve kept up with Facebook and Google+ (although Google+ is very limited on WP), and my emails.

The main thing that I am missing on my phone is access to my banking program, Quicken. I wonder if Quicken has a phone version. I should research this.

Thank goodness for my phone!

Transfering favorites

I can’t believe that it took me so long to realize how to transfer favorites from http://favorites.live.com to my local browser.  I know that my favorites are stored locally in my Documents and Settings file. Once I saved the .zip file to my desktop, I unzipped it and moved them all into my Documents and Setting favorites file. It took but a moment to drag the whole file into the new location, and voilà, it showed up instantly in internet explorer.
